The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship hopeful for the 2027 election in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Adeola, has announced that he has received the endorsement and support of former Governor Ibikunle Amosun during a consultative visit ahead of the governorship race.
Adeola, in a statement shared on his official social media platform, described the meeting as encouraging, saying the former governor emphasized the need for unity and intensified grassroots mobilisation to position the APC for victory in the 2027 general election.
According to him, Amosun urged party members to remain focused on strengthening the APC from the grassroots while fostering greater cohesion among stakeholders across Ogun State.

“We were honoured to receive the endorsement and support of former Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, during our consultative visit ahead of the 2027 governorship election,” Adeola stated.
He added that the former governor called for “unity and intensified grassroots mobilisation across Ogun State to ensure the victory of our great party, the APC.”
Adeola said he was particularly encouraged by Amosun’s emphasis on strengthening the party structure at the grassroots level and promoting inclusiveness among party members.
“We were encouraged by his emphasis on strengthening the party from the grassroots, fostering greater cohesion among members, and remaining focused on our collective objective of building a stronger and more united APC across Ogun State,” he said.
The senator also acknowledged Amosun’s political experience and guidance, describing his advice as invaluable.
“His fatherly counsel and wealth of political experience will continue to inspire our journey,” Adeola noted.
Reaffirming his commitment to consultations with party leaders and stakeholders, the governorship aspirant said his campaign would continue to focus on building consensus and strengthening the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
