The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday said 3,556 out of 3,763 Polling Units (PUs) in Osun State opened by 8:30 am for the governorship election.
According to the electoral umpire’s situation report, 207 polling units, accounting for 5.5 per cent, experienced minor delays but had become operational by 9:00 am.

INEC also announced that the activation of all 332 Registration Area Centres (RACs) was completed at 100 per cent at 6:09 pm on Friday, covering the entire state ahead of the election.
In its overall assessment, INEC described the process of RAC activation and polling unit opening as “peaceful, orderly, and timely.”
