The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has recognised Nigerian travel company, Wakanow, for its outstanding performance in the international travel platform category during the first quarter of the 1448 AH season.

Wakanow received the Award for Excellence in Performance of International Travel Platforms, Q1 1448 AH, in recognition of its contribution to the international travel ecosystem supporting Umrah pilgrims.

The recognition comes as the company continues to provide Umrah travel services to Nigerian customers, including visa assistance, accommodation, airport transfers and ground transportation for journeys to Makkah and Madinah.

Reacting to the award, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Wakanow, Bayo Adedeji, described the recognition as a significant milestone for the company.

“Receiving this recognition from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is a significant moment for everyone at Wakanow. We see it as recognition of the commitment of our teams, partners and the wider ecosystem that enables us to serve Umrah travellers,” he said.
